Buying a PDA

There's nothing cooler to own today than your very own PDA. The cool new accessory, the personal digital assistant (PDA) is here to stay. PDAs have evolved enormously since the days when they were mostly useful for keeping track of phone numbers, addresses, and your schedule. Some manufacturers refer to them as "handheld computers" or "palmtops," indicative of their increased power and flexibility.

Today's PDAs allow users to surf the internet, edit office files, play 3-D games, and watch videos, functions it would have been hard to even fathom just a few years ago. The newest PDAs feature fast processors, graphics chips, and high-resolution screens. You're also likely to find built-in wireless connectivity and Bluetooth for connecting your PDA to the internet and to cordless peripherals, and there are literally thousands of add-on software programs that expand a PDA's abilities even further.
